I want the twilight & you To make amends so we can stay up late And talk about things we'll never do Might as well turn the second hand backwards Wonder if you'll even notice We could even have breakfast in the foyer Every growing boy should know this Point your headlights up the driveway Illuminate pools heated in the cold rain Trying to make use of decaying youth Might as well turn the second hand backwards Wonder if you'll even notice We could even have breakfast in the foyer Every growing boy should know this Last night, my ears couldn't stand still Could've use a melody for a pill I wished for the lullaby you made up To help me get to sleep before you wake up I see the apple of an eye go by...go by I want the twilight & you To duke it out so I can find the one who Follows me despite the lighting Might as well turn the second hand backwards Wonder if you'll even notice We could even have breakfast in the foyer Every growing boy should know I want the twilight & you

Could you ever love this stranger Even though my thoughts aren't a part of my mouth I'll pretend to check my pager Hoping to persuade time to run out To run out Could I ever fill this canvas Paint the colors washing over you Arrival always making me forget Other people think of me as new Let's take a vacation from my skull Dirty looks aren't real at all Let's take a vacation from my skull Faces brighten as they call Could you ever love this stranger Even though my head lies under my breath I'll let go of best behavior All the things that I've held to my chest Finally Rest

about

These songs are very dear to us. They're the last two songs we ever wrote, and probably the best. The recording is just a single microphone recording one of our practices at the Auburn church, several months before we decided to split up. It's not a studio recording...it's a little muddy, there is gain clipping, and we're goofing around throughout. But hey, it's endearing right?

We never thought that these would be the seminal recordings..in fact they would have been the start to an album.

Thanks for listening.
